01 Overview.

This client is a plumbing and HVAC company serving residential customers in Loveland and across Northern Colorado. The headline figures come from a dashboard screenshot the client shared with us; we don't have a live connection to their job-management platform, so we're presenting the numbers as given, not re-verifying them independently.

02 Goals.

Build real conversion tracking so spend decisions could be made on real numbers, then scale paid search and local SEO against what the tracking showed was working.

  • Fix conversion tracking so spend decisions were based on real numbers, not guesswork
  • Run paid search and Local Services Ads against the services that fill the schedule
  • Build a local SEO presence from close to a blank slate
  • Give the owner one clear number to judge spend by, every week
The brief

Build the tracking first, then scale what the tracking proved was working.

03 Plumbing & HVAC Marketing Strategy.

01

Conversion Tracking, Rebuilt

Call tracking, form tracking, and Local Services Ads lead tracking stood up close to a blank slate, so later decisions had a real number behind them.

02

Plumbing & HVAC PPC and Local Services Ads

Search and LSA campaigns run together, tuned for the services that actually fill the schedule.

03

Plumbing & HVAC Local SEO

Site audit, service page builds, and Local Search Grid tracking to measure map-pack position directly instead of guessing at it.

04 The Results.

The headline figures are the client's own, from a dashboard screenshot they shared with us. The window is Q1 (Jan-Mar) 2023 against Q1 2024. The 2023 quarter is entirely before this engagement started; the 2024 quarter covers only the first few months of it. We're not crediting the full swing to our work.

Organic search leads held up better than overall organic traffic across the engagement. Two internal reads of the lead data use slightly different windows and land on different precise figures, so we're not publishing an exact percentage here; directionally, leads did not fall anywhere close to as much as total organic sessions did.

05 What This Meant for the Business.

Revenue per job went up without adding more jobs. We're not claiming the funnel caused all of it. Some of this likely reflects pricing or job mix the client controls directly; what the funnel work contributed is the tracking that let them see it clearly and the local and paid presence that replaced guesswork going forward.

What didn't move, or moved the wrong way

Overall organic search traffic is down year over year on this account. Local map-pack rank has gotten worse over the tracked period, not better. Paid cost per lead rose on both the main ad account and Local Services Ads, by about 31% and 35% respectively, comparing the first quarter we ran the account to the most recent quarter. Google Business Profile website clicks fell about 28%, while calls held roughly flat and direction requests grew. A local SEO rebuild and a paid account restructure are both in motion and too new to have a result to report yet.
