Miami Runs on Two Languages, and the Keyword Data Says They Do Not Behave the Same
We pulled live volume, difficulty, and CPC for the English and Spanish versions of the same searches. The assumption every generic Miami page makes, that Spanish is a smaller add-on market, is true for some trades and flatly wrong for others.
| English term | Vol | Diff | CPC | Spanish term | Vol | Diff | CPC |
|---|
| lawyer miami | 150 | 42 | $9.00 | abogado miami | 200 | 41 | $12.00 |
| dentist miami | 700 | 54 | $4.00 | dentista miami | 150 | 22 | $4.00 |
| plumber miami | 700 | 49 | $10.00 | plomero miami | 20 | 28 | $5.00 |
| hvac miami | 450 | 45 | $2.00 | aire acondicionado miami | 40 | 0 | $1.40 |
| roofing miami | 350 | 56 | $2.00 | techos miami | 0 | n/a | n/a |
For legal services, Spanish is the bigger market, not the secondary one. "Abogado miami" outsearches "lawyer miami" (200 vs. 150 monthly) and costs more per click ($12.00 vs. $9.00), which tells you advertisers already know it converts. An English-only law firm is skipping the larger, pricier half of its own market.
For plumbing, the opposite is true. "Plumber miami" pulls 700 searches against 20 for "plomero miami," a 35-to-1 gap and the widest of any trade we checked. Spanish-language plumbing content here is close to wasted effort.
Dentistry sits in between, and the difficulty gap is the story. "Dentista miami" gets a fifth of the volume at less than half the ranking difficulty (22 vs. 54) for the same $4.00 click. A Spanish dental page is a legitimate fast-rank play, not a token translation.
And "techos miami" is not a real search behavior: zero recorded volume against 350 for "roofing miami." Not every trade has a Spanish-language market in Miami, and assuming one exists is how a roofer pays for a page nobody searches for.
